Our Sri Lanka Culture Tour, we will witness the majestic Lion Rock in Sigiriya, one of the eight world wonders. The stoned kingdom on the top of the isolated rock, built in the 5th century, features impressive carvings, paintings, and architecturally planned mansions. Afterward, we will visit the Royal Botanic Garden in Kandy, which is home to over 4,000 varieties of colorful plants and trees, providing a delightful experience for nature enthusiasts. We will also attend Kandyan dancing events in the evening, allowing us to immerse ourselves in Sri Lanka's cultural heritage. Additionally, we recommend an optional hot air balloon ride over Dambulla, which offers a stunning view of the jungle, wildlife habitats, and ancient villages. Finally, we will visit Kandy's view point, offering breathtaking views of the city's most beautiful places before settling down for the night at Thilanka Hotel or a similar accommodation.
As part of our Sri Lanka holiday packages, Lanka Ceylon Tours will pick you up at 6:00 in the morning from your residence in Kandy and drive you straight to Knuckles Valley via Hulugaga Road. Embark on a trekking adventure in the morning to Knuckles, passing through tea estates, waterfalls, panoramic scenarios, pigmy rain and cloudy forests.
Knuckles Valley is a hotspot for bird watching enthusiasts, offering a chance to spot various species of birds. After the trek, retire to your accommodation at Thilanka hotel or a similar hotel in Kandy, ensuring a comfortable stay throughout the tour.
On Day 5 of your Lanka Ceylon tour guide, you will be picked up at 8:00 a.m. from your hotel in Kandy and head straight to Ambuluwawa, a green hilly area known for its rich biodiversity. At the top of the mountain, you will visit a man-made viewpoint tower that offers a 360-degree view of the surroundings.
Afterward, you will visit the Macwoods tea factory, where you will learn about the tea-making process and sample different varieties of tea based on their taste and quality. You will also have the opportunity to purchase fresh tea products from the factory outlet.
